Lego NINJAGO Layout final update (for now)!

Hello peeps and Lego fans.
It's been a while, again lots of stuff to deal with.
Anyhow, I worked a lot on my NINJAGO layout recently and wanted to share it with you.
Just be warned, it is all a bit pushed together due to space reasons and could look a lot better if I had the resources.
Here is a quick overview of everything. Sadly there is a blank table space that I could not fill at the moment but maybe in the future.
It is set up like a battle and yes, you will see ninjas twice or more everywhere.
What I am most proud of is this section here. My lego minecraft sets had to suffer for the base plates but it looks pretty neat in my opinions. The only things I want to refine is the lower sections of the river walls.

Here is a look at the baddies. I know, loads of water, but since a lot of the enemy sets I own are flying and the city of stix is in water I decided that it is alright for now.

I always like the idea of having the anaconda temple on top of mountains so I tried that out. I think it looks decent but you can clearly see my amateur MOC experience. I also switched the bridge so that there was a way down. The helicopter is a very tight fit.
To seperate the areas a bit I added a small waterfall which runs into a hole in the ground. I also added a waterwheel to supply electricity.

Here is the bottom of a lot of the sets. I used almost all my clear pieces but the two airships just had to be in the "air".

On top I had a shelf (ikea) which I used for a dragon showdown.
Fun fact: Master Wu I only display 2 even though I have him 4 times. I liked him riding his Dragon the most. He is hidden inside the flying ship and inside the temple. The only other place he is in is his little airbaloon but you can barely see him.

Here is another look at the Ninja side. Placing the tiger island was hard so I put it in the back just to make it seem like the enemies are invading the Ninja land. On the bottom left you can also see a bit of enemies fighting ninjas.

Finally I added kind of a border. A double border actually. Also there is the rope cannon used to bring down the enemy mech.

Overall I think my layout looks nice but it can be a lot better. One day I will definitely expand on it and buy more baseplates.

You can clearly see my lack of experience building MOC creations but I think I did a good job with the area next to the Airjitzu Temple.

Thank you as always for reading and stay tuned for more reviews and other posts

Lego Star Wars Droid Escape Pod 2016

Hello again fellow Lego fans and readers.
Today in the 2016 Lego sets I own I am bringing you the Droid Escape Pod.
Here are some quick facts about this set:

  • 179 Pieces
  • 4 Minifigs including a new R2-D2 look
  • About 30 Euros
At first glance this set looks for me personally much better than the old escape pods because it feels more stable and looks bulkier. So lets take a look at this set from other angles.
Again above you can see that there are about 2 layers added at the front and believe it or not you can see through the small transparent brick in the front.
A lot of stickers around this set making you have to chose as to how to put them on and where you want to leave the gaps between each sticker.
The back looks compact and neat which is perfect for the escape pod look.
Now the inside. It blew me away because of how great it looks. Of course more stickers. The bottom one shows the impact zone and the top one shows a nice small view of the Star Destroyer.
The console also has a sticker and a little surprise which I will get to in a bit. I do not like the speeder bike handle as controls but I can live with it. The 2x2 space is for C3PO and the back 2 studs for R2-D2.
As promised here is the console and yes I see the Sticker is a bit crooked. God I hate stickers.
The console pulls out to reveal the Death Star plans that everybody is looking for.

My final Thought.
  • Nice looking set
  • A bit to expensive
  • Great figures
  • The interior looks great
  • Finally a cheaper set to get Jawas in
So there you have it. It is a great and cheaper way to get the new R2 figure and some more Jawas and a 3PO. Star Wars is and always be more pricey but sometimes it is worth the money and in this case id say it is.
Alright the last set I have from 2016 is the carbon freeze chamber which is next and then I think I will go for something not Star Wars unless there is a request. You can see my lego collection here: My Collection.
For now have a nice day and much love as always.

Bricklink Haul #2 December 2015

Hey guys as promised here is my second Haul post.
These are 2 orders from December.
They focused mainly around a small speeder I had to build and an enhancement I wanted to add to Obi Wans Starfighter.

I did buy extra pieces just for the sake of it. And the stone wall is for some background display which will be built up over time.
This is all but another haul will come next week I think once the delivery arrives.
Thank you for reading and much love as always
